Discover More About Creating And Designing A Website Using IWeb

Creating and designing a website is fairly easy using iweb-master and is what I will show you throughout my website. What you need to is think of is what the purpose of your website is and get the right content, whether its a website promoting your business, a blog website or a website for your own personal use.

What I will show you is how do design and layout your website, show you some tips and tricks, how to publish your site with mobile me and how to use your own domain name or URL eg. www.yourwebname.co.uk. Also I will give a quick insight on how to earn money on your website and get get traffic to your website.

Choosing a domain name-

our domain name plays a big part in getting people to remember your site and get people interested.
Naming your site after your domain may seem obvious to some of you, but you’ll be surprised to learn that not every website is named after the domain name even when the webmaster owns that domain name.
Naming a site after its domain name is important, for the simple reason that when people think of your website, they’ll think of it by name. If your name is also your URL, they’ll automatically know where to go. For example, when people think of mypast.co.uk, they don’t have to wonder what URL to type into their browser to get there. The name of the site is also the URL.

Layout and colour scheme-

The colour and layout of your website is one of the most important things on a website. There are already pre-made themes, but what if you don’t like any of them or they just don’t fit your website and you want to create your own, well you can. Thats exactly what I did, I made my own theme as you can see.

Before I show you how there are a few basic things about layout and coloring:

First of all you need to know that the page is split up into 3 parts. The header , the content and the footer. To add content into the header or the footer you need to grab the item and hold it for a few seconds and then it will allow you to drag it into the header or the footer without the page extending.

Colour scheme. It is one of the most important things. Try to stick to just 2 or 3 colour max, they must be colours that fit well with each other. But what I suggest is to stay safe and do what I did, stick to one colour but just use slightly different shades of that colour ; for example I used 3 different shades of grey
